Zip system for insect screens and roller blinds

When the glass sliding surfaces are huge, the insect screen is Zip.

Zip, the system adopted by PRONEMA, is ideal for large insect screens and roller blinds for closing large balconies and terraces, with widths up to six meters (and above in some cases) for instance. It ensures a wind resistance above Class 3 on a maximum width of 6 meters and maximum height of 3 meters. Problems with bending of the winding roll have been eliminated, and the insect screen, or blind, remains perfectly tawt.

Blinds are a simple addition to our everyday life, but there are many technical and physical aspects involved in items so familiar, especially when it comes to a technologically advanced product requiring advanced performance and specific results.

That is why Pronema has developed the Zip system, providing a zipper – adequately sized to custom – along the side of the insect screen mesh or fabric. The zip slides on special guides that prevent the mesh or fabric from escaping from its seat. In this way you get insect screens and blinds, which, in addition to being fastened in the upper part (to the winding roll) and in the lower part (the bottom bar), are also each laterally secured.

The benefits that this type of technology can offer are numerous. In particular, the ZIP system can support very large dimensions without the need of rigid insertions in the fabric, leaving the surfaces smoother and more elegant looking. Furthermore, due to the resistance of the zip against the force of the wind and accidental impacts, blinds and insect screens can also be installed in areas which are exposed to bad weather conditions and on large size windows.
