Plissé and Tesa: a screen to protect, silence to pamper

When redesigning our low-threshold insect screens (the Plissé and Tesa, for those who know our product catalogue) we focused on an aspect not many manufacturers think of: Noise. Or, better yet, silence.

Because a good design does not only mean a good shape, but, above all, creating a pleasurable experience for the senses. Thus, thanks to the new lower guide design, if you try to open or close it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how easily it slides and by its silence.

Plissé and Tesa are two types of “low-threshold” insect screens, featuring an extremely thin PVC bottom guide of only 3 mm in thickness. This makes them an ideal choice for insect screens installed at high transit points since their extremely reduced size and plastic profile on the ground facilitate pram and stroller passage, without creating an obstacle that can be tripped over.
Plissé screens feature pleated nets, while Tesa screens are similar to a traditional insect screen with lateral-rolling panel, but with a special spring system with controlled return which allows the user to adjust open screen positions.
Features and advantages:
  • A thin floor guide to prevent trip hazards
  • Easy to install
  • Low noise
  • Minimum friction = less wear on parts
  • Reduced vibration
  • Easy-release handle
  • Anti-pollen and anti-bacterial net on request (Tesa model)
  • Excellent cost/quality ratio
