A wooden house with high-efficiency insulating modules

In recent years, wooden constructions have gained an important position within the low energy consumption construction market. Wood is naturally insulating, fire-resistant, with seismic properties and easily adaptable in project choices. The industrialized process of pre-manufacture also provides certainty on the timing and costs of implementation.

Studiodue, a design studio, has suggested the use of X-lam panels for the walls. The strength of glulam ensures excellent acoustics and exceptional performance during the Summer. The building envelope is further surrounded by rock wool thermal insulation and vegetation is used extensively, which facilitates the natural cooling through evapotranspiration processes.
